Who we are
Unity Space operates this website and the Unity Space app. Our backend (accounts, data, files) is provided by Supabase and hosted in the European Union (Ireland).
What we collect and why
- Email address and password — to create and secure your account. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes.
- Profile details you choose to add — name, photo, city, country, languages, bio, preferred title. These describe you on your Passport; a public facilitator profile shows them publicly only after explicit review and publication.
- Your Unity Space journey — learning history, in-app course progress, professional credentials, saved experiences, people you follow, and your participation requests. Active professional credentials are verifiable by design.
- Requests and messages you send us — retreat hosting requests, organization inquiries, and feedback, so we can respond.
- Location (“Near Me”) — only when you tap Near Me on the map, your device position centres the map once. It is never stored and never sent to our servers.
What we do not collect
No payment information (there are no payments in the app today). No contacts, no health data, no browsing history, no advertising identifiers. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the app.
Third parties
- Supabase — backend, authentication, and file storage (EU hosting).
- Mapbox — map tiles for the Pathways map.
- Resend (when transactional email is enabled) — delivery of account emails such as confirmation and password reset.
We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Historical community records
Unity Space holds historical training records of its community, imported from the organisation’s own archives. These remain private unclaimed records until you create an account with your verified email and explicitly claim your history. Credentials are never invented from attendance; corrections are audited, not silently edited.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and data, contact the Unity Space team and we will process the deletion. An in-app deletion control is planned before public release.
